2023 Year in Review: Keeping Charleston Businesses Looking Good!
As we transition from 2023 to 2024, do you wonder, “Wow, where did that year go?”
It seems we all tend to rush to the next thing, not pausing to celebrate and properly close out 2023.
That’s why we love a good year in review. Yep, we’re looking at you, Spotify Wrapped! Admit it, you get sucked into recaps, top 10 lists, and fun facts about what song you had on repeat all year. It’s a perfect snapshot of how we spent our time – personally and professionally.
Here at Charleston Cotton Exchange, we had a big year! We welcomed brand-new customers to our family and continued to work with long-time Charleston area businesses that we love. We drank a lot of coffee, ate a lot of chocolate, and had a ton of fun!

Plus, we celebrated 28 years in business! That’s almost three decades of outfitting Charleston businesses with branded apparel and promotional items.
Our birthday gift to you, our customers, was a new direct-to-film transfer machine. This equipment investment allows us to overcome some of the drawbacks of traditional screen printing.
With the direct-to-film transfer machine, we can apply the application to a wide variety of fabrics, cotton, polyester and triblends. So many options for your branded apparel! Plus, the image quality is fantastic. [Read more about this state-of-the-art technology in a recent blog post.]
Whew! Our team has been hard at work! So what kept us fueled in 2023?
How about 260 pots of coffee? It’s possible we consumed 57 bags of candy (don’t tell our dentist!). Dark chocolate is a staff favorite followed closely by Reese’s. But, it’s fine. We read a study that said dark chocolate was good for you. So, it’s fine.
In October, we had some fun with a new skeleton friend. Bones put on his Charleston Cotton Exchange gear and jumped right in to help. You can see some photos of Bones on our Instagram here and here.
And, in what can only be described as totally random: we made one call to a local wildlife rescue to save our parking lot duck. Never a dull moment here!
