According to this BuzzFeed article, in January 2021, “the number of influencers linking to Carhartt had increased by over 200%, and week over week, consumer searches for ‘Carhartt beanie’ were up 45%.”
With a $22 price point, it’s an accessible price point and introduced a new customer base to the Carhartt brand.
Now, five years later, Carhartt continues to ride this popularity wave. While sticking to its blue collar roots, the brand has expanded extensively into women’s workwear, targeting skilled female workers.
A Forbes article in 2024, highlights Carhartt’s focus on products for the growing number of skilled tradeswomen with a collection of products designed to be durable and soft.
